About Luverta

Hi, I'm Luverta. I’m passionate about stories that point people to Jesus—and I love cheering writers on as they answer the call to write.

My publishing journey started as a freelance proofreader and community manager with Pneuma Writers, and later led me to WaterBrook and Multnomah (Penguin Random House), where I had the joy of working with bestselling authors and learning the ins and outs of trade publishing. I also hold an M.S. in Publishing from Pace University—because I believe editing is both a craft and a calling.

When I’m not editing, I’m probably reading, traveling, eating and praying. Every Tuesday and Thursday, I host a prayer series online—lifting up authors, new book releases, and literary agents. Encouraging writers (in both their faith and their work) is one of my greatest joys.
